Gold Coast to Close Their Poker Room

The Gold Coast Poker Room will fold Sunday, January 30th at 11:00PM.
It's never good when more people lose their jobs. I'd imagine that we'll pick up a percentage of their regular players while the balance will move to the Orleans. Those who relocate to the Orleans likely will do so because they prefer to chase badbeats. Those who chose to play across the street at our place will likely do so because it is just that....across the street and geographically convenient.
I played $3-6 LHE with a $4-8 kill there yesterday. By my second hand someone had been tossed out. I don't know the details of the barring, and I guess it doesn't really matter since the room is closing in a few days. I will say that the atmosphere seemed hostile. I played perhaps 2 hours, sucked out on river many times and lost the biggest pot of the day with a flopped set of Qs to a rivered gutshot straight. I cashed out $25 down and I figure I toked about that much.
In order to get rid of their jackpot money before they close, they are giving away $400 per hour (4 $100 drawings) every day from 10AM until midnight.
I can't help but wonder which poker room will be next to throw in the towel.

Attitude Adjustment?

Why is this crazy lady screaming?
After you've made your list of possible reasons, consider :
I can't tell how much the last player of this machine cashed out, but you can see "paid $xxx" to the left of Bet5. IF this lady is belatedly celebrating that win, wouldn't it make more sense to show her holding a cash out ticket?
If we are to believe that she is celebrating a win, it would probably be a good idea to show a few credits on the machine (it shows ZERO) AND perhaps show a winning hand since a pair of 10s with a king, jack and seven is a big fat LOSING!! hand.
I'm not sure why shit like this bothers me so much. Maybe it's because idiots people get paid good money to create advertising images and the least they could do would be to make it even remotely believable. Another possibility is that I resent said idiots people assuming that no one will notice the inconsistencies. Yet another possibility is that I have a mental/personality disorder that makes me overly critical and defensive.
The last possibilities is somewhat disquieting.
Last week as I was gathering required documents for a financial situation that has arisen it became obvious that I wouldn't be able to print any statements via the Bank of America website. After several days and multiple attempts I called customer support, waited 45 minutes for a human and then spent another 45 minutes before, after escalating several levels, it was determined that at some point in the past the wonderful post office returned a piece of mail addressed to me from BoA as undeliverable. This caused BoA to believe that they had a bad address for me and in turn they stopped all mailings and blocked me from accessing any monthly statements via their website. Never mind that I was still able to execute online transactions, write check, make deposits etc. etc. I just couldn't view, and obviously print, the monthly statments I needed to address the situation. With that situation taken care of for FUTURE months, I still needed hard copies so I visited the local branch office. The nice man told me it could take up to 2 hours for that information to be faxed from a remote location. That didn't bother me. What DID bother me was that he kept suggesting that I had changed the address and I was somehow at fault here. I could feel my BP rising but I couldn't contain it.
This may have been a silly example, but situations like this occur on a daily basis.
I really would rather take the high road. I set out to follow the directions to that high road....
And I invariably end up saying something smartassed that I regret. Not because they didn't deserve it, but because I'd really rather be passive aggressive than outright confrontational.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how one can simply ignore these things and roll with the punches? Self medication? Legal medication with a prescription? Yoga? Meditation? Punch them in the face?
